Comio, the Chinese handset player is all set to enter the Indian smartphone market with its range of budget Android smartphones. The company is launching four Android Smartphones on August 18, 2017, in New Delhi, India.
Sanjay Kalirona, CEO of Comio gave his statement to a new website saying, ““We will be launching four Android 7.0 based budget smartphones on August 18 in India. They will be priced at Rs 6, 000 to Rs 15,000.”
He further added, “There aren’t many players in the offline market in this price range. Most Indian companies are focusing on sub-Rs 6,000, while other Chinese firms are looking at devices over Rs 15,000”.
Comio Budget Smartphones
The Android budget smartphones to be launched tomorrow will be priced at Rs 6,000-Rs15,000 and supposedly will feature rich Smartphones. The company claims their upcoming range of Smartphones to be big on features and with zero bloat which is certainly something to boast about.
Comio, actually is a brand of Topwise which is a well known Chinese ODM (original device manufacturer). Topwise has already been supping Smartphone to companies like Micromax. The company will start assembling the Smartphone in India sometime in September or October this year. Meanwhile, they will be importing the devices from China.
Topwise, the base company has some big plans to setup in the Indian market and reportedly will be investing something around Rs 500 crores in coming years to grow their market here.
