Undo sent email. Ohh Fish!!! You clicked send!!!
When you send an email by mistake to your recipient, it feels very bad and feels like rewinding the last 10 seconds (during which you send the email) of your life.
Today, I am presenting the undo feature of Google’s Gmail, a very small but useful feature, hidden the Gmail labs section. Most of you might have been unknown with this feature but trust me, it is very simple to use it. Gmail give 30 seconds to undo a sent email. To use this feature, firstly you have to enable it.
How to enable Gmail Undo option and use it
- In your Gmail windows, click on the gear icon located the upper-right corner and select the Settings option.
- In the setting section, can you see the labs option? Click on it and scroll to the bottom, you will the Undo send option, enable it and save the changes.
Now whenever you will send an email, the yellow dialogue box which displays “Your message has been sent” will consist the undo option also. Click on it, the mail will reopen and un-sent it!
The default time of the appearance of the undo option is 10 seconds but it can be managed. To do so, navigate to Settings > General > Undo Send, and select a cancellation period up to 30 seconds or as per you want.
If you make a typo or regret sending a mail, you can undo the action by enabling the “Undo send” lab. This lab will give you the option to take back a message you just sent.
Over to you! Undo sent email.
